THE DEREK SWABB MEMORIAL FUND WAS CREATED TO CONTINUE THE LEGACY OF A BRIGHT YOUNG ATHLETE IN OUR COMMUNITY WHO LOST HIS BATTLE WITH CANCER IN SEPTEMBER 2011 AT THE AGE OF 16.

IF YOU WISH TO APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, PLEASE DO SO PRIOR TO SPRING OR FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION. APPLICATIONS WILL BE APPROVED ON A FIRST COME BASIS.

Target: Kilkenny Community Level Sports

Hockey: Initiation Level I & II
Soccer: Up to & including U14
Softball/Basketball - Up to & including U14

Selection Criteria

Must live in Kilkenny Community League boundaries
Must have a valid Kilkenny Community League Membership
Must demonstrate financial need. Letter(s) of approval for the current year must be presented at time of registration, from one of the following:
Leisure Access - application link
AB Child Health Benefits - application link
Social Services Card
Plus Photo ID

Subsidy Entitlement

One sport registration per calendar year (Jan-Dec)
Cost to Family/Child - 25% of registration fees per Child – No max limit on amount
Family - no child within a family will be excluded if more than one child wants to participate during the same season.
